Sixth Form News - 8th May 2026

A short but busy week, which saw the first of the ‘big’ exams for some of our students, who are all working hard to prepare.

Dr Bamford’s Problem Solving at Work lesson this week saw the Year 12 students focussing on teamwork, with a fun marshmallow and spaghetti engineering competition.

Last Saturday, Erin went to the O2 arena to see Olivia Dean. She had a fantastic time with her sister and friends and there are lots of videos and photos to prove it!

Eshan was busy helping with his scout group at a May Day Fayre. He helped run two very successful stalls and then enjoyed relaxing afterwards at an Indian restaurant.

Last week, Tyler and his brother added another boat to their fleet in the shape of Jemima. This very special boat was gifted to them by their grandad who was in the RAF. The boat’s previous owner served with him and was named after another special servicewoman. A lovely story and an amazing present!

Please remember that the deadline for ordering a leavers’ hoodie is this Sunday. (Don’t forget to tick the ‘collect from store’ option to avoid the delivery charge, and ‘name’ is what will be printed on the back…)

Enjoy the weekend.

Best wishes from,

Mrs Allum and the Sixth Form Team
