Rowan News - 8th May 2026

Just before the Easter holidays, Joe Deering visited his former pre-school to give a presentation and share his extensive knowledge of dinosaurs.  This week we’ve seen the photos of what was an amazing presentation - the pre-schoolers loved it, and I’ve seen Joe’s powerpoint which gave the information to the pre-school pupils in such a way that they would understand it.

Elsewhere in Rowan, Oliver in year 10 had an interview to be a Youth Ambassador for Lords Taverners cricket club, which involved an online meeting - nerve-wracking for most, but Oliver approached it in a calm manner and said he was able to answer all the questions, so well done to you Oliver.

Oliver in year 7 has been a great buddy to a visiting pupil - he’s made sure his charge has got to the right place at the right time and looked after him during breaktimes throughout his visit.  Thank you Oliver for your help this week.  Ethan in year 7 has been busy making games for us to play on Friday mornings after we are worn out by Forest School.  I have been super-impressed by year 7 work on fractions this week.
