Rowan News - 24th April 2026
Welcome back to the summer term - it has been lovely to spend some time outside in the sunshine. It’s been great to hear about the pupils’ adventures in the Easter holidays including staying in a converted railway carriage in Norfolk, trips to Gran Canaria, Portugal, Texas, skiing in Italy and I am very impressed by year 7 who told me that some of them still had some Easter eggs left!
This week in maths year 7 have been revising their place value knowledge (very good) and continuing with measuring - this week: temperature. They found it quite hilarious how quickly the thermometer moved when plunged from freezing cold water into hot! In RE Year 7 and 8 are continuing with their studies about Christianity and some Old and New Testament stories.
Lots of the pupils commented on how quickly this week has passed - even though they were not so sure about getting back to the early starts, and homework!
Have a lovely restful weekend
