Rowan News - 20th March 2026
Top shelter building by year 8 last week - with excellent use of the resources they found around them.

It has been great to spend more time outdoors this week in the glorious sunshine - year 7 have been measuring outside in maths drawing and measuring chalk lines (and also drawing some lovely pictures) and Mrs Mills year 7 & 8 groups have been outside collecting data for their graphs. Mrs Mead’s English groups have been imagining what might be hidden in Pandora’s box, and I’ve seen some great illustrations of their ideas.
With the sunny weather, part of the field has been open at break and lunchtimes - it's been great to see most of the pupils outside enjoying the sunshine. I’ll be encouraging the more reluctant pupils to come outside although this might have to wait until after the Easter holidays if the weather forecast is correct for next week!
Have a lovely weekend
