Congratulations to Harry Pikesley for getting an amazing distinction in his LAMDA exam!
Last Friday morning year 7 and 8 had their first experience of Forest School with Kerry from Wild Kites - for their first session the children chose their own activities from hammocks, shelter building, mixing potions in the mud kitchen, creating woodland art, collecting mini beasts. Most pupils tried a few different activities with Joe being an amazing bug hunter - no stone was left unturned in the ERS garden. Joni found a beautiful beetle and is counting down the days until Kerry comes back. Theo and Oliver joined by Evie enjoyed relaxing and spinning in the hammocks, Ethan, Ollie and Emily spent a long time mixing, grating and stirring in the mud kitchen, there were some amazing shelters built by Amelia, Jasmine, and Harrison. Jake enjoyed sharing scary stories, Chloe and Amy enjoyed some natural crafts. A very busy morning which flew by - there have been lots of positive comments from the pupils and I can’t wait to do it all again this week!
