Poplar News - 24th April 2026

Welcome back! I hope everyone had a restful Easter break. We have had an exciting first week, with a fun sports event on Friday morning and the first session of Forest School for PIH. It will be PRN’s turn next week.

This week in their computing lessons, PSS children created rhythms and tunes using percussion instruments and Chrome Music Lab to develop musical patterns. They then shared their creations and compared their experiences of making music both digitally and non-digitally. PIH created a paper version of a record card database in their first lesson about flat-file databases. In RSE, they talked about human rights and, through a discussion about minimum wage, worked through some budgeting. The children in PRN have already begun writing character descriptions in Literacy. In Maths, they have been looking at years, months, days, and hours. They have done a fantastic job converting minutes to hours, hours to days, and months to years.

If you have any messages or information for the teachers, please use the Home School Link books which are checked every day.  I can also be contacted by email on ingrid.holt@eger-roth.co.uk, but if you have an urgent message please contact Suzie Bennett in the main office.

Have a good weekend,

Ingrid Holt
