Poplar News - 22nd May 2026
On Thursday, PIH went to Kew Gardens. They explored the greenhouses, walked to the Japanese temple, saw the carnivorous plants and did the tree walk (although we took the elevator rather than the steps). After a six-mile walk, a rest, some time on the playground and some ice-cream was a welcome break.
This week in Science, PSS learned about habitats and how living things are suited to the environments in which they live. The children researched different habitats and explored how they provide animals and plants with the basic things they need to survive. They also learned about food chains and how living things depend on one another for food and survival. in Science, PRN conducted some research to answer the question "Do people who exercise more often have stronger leg muscles?" The children did extremely well with conducting their research and gathering data. They were happy to have such lovely weather outside to experiment in.
