Beech News - 8th May 2026

We are now moving confidently through the second week of GCSE exams, and our students continue to demonstrate excellent focus, resilience, and determination.

The atmosphere across the school has remained calm, purposeful, and positive, with students arriving prepared, supporting one another, and approaching each examination with their best effort.

Staff have been particularly impressed by the maturity students are showing, from managing their revision effectively to approaching each exam with a positive and composed mindset. This week has included subjects such as Art, History, Combined Science, and Drama, and it has been encouraging to see students leaving the exam hall with a genuine sense of pride in their efforts and achievements.

We would like to remind all students that progress matters more than perfection. Each exam is a new opportunity, and every step forward is important. If one paper has felt challenging, remember how far you have already come and the resilience you have shown throughout this process.

To all our students: keep going, believe in yourselves, and continue to look after yourselves. We wish all students the very best in the weeks ahead.

We are immensely proud of you and will keep supporting you every step of the way.

Commendations

Congratulations to Sam (Year 11) for showing outstanding care and maturity in supporting another student through a difficult time. Sam went above and beyond to ensure the student accessed the help they needed and remained supported until they were in a better place. Sam’s compassion and selflessness are truly commendable. Well done!
