Egerton Rothesay School
A school with a difference
For pupils who need additional support, including those with
Dyslexia, Dyspraxia or Speech & Language issues.
ERS aims to provide a unique and relevant education for each of our students. We believe that learning should be focused on the individual and should be about preparing each child for life after school - as well as academic subjects and exams. We say that “ERS is a school especially for the child who can benefit from additional support”. This means providing the best possible education, within a genuinely supportive framework, that will also be enjoyable for the child throughout their school career.
We are an inclusive school and welcome children of all abilities and from all cultures and faiths. We have the facilities to provide specialist support, whether for a specific educational need - such as Dyslexia, Dyspraxia or Speech & language issues - or for a more general problem with learning. Our aim is always to enable each individual child to make the best possible progress and as such our input can be for the whole school career or on an interim basis to help re-focus a child’s progress.
Our core school structure is for children aged 9 to 16, but we also have facilities for younger children aged 5 to 9 in our Springboard and Rainbow centres.
We hope the website detail is helpful but we would also like to show you the school in action.
