Sixth Form News - 15th May 2026
The exams have started in earnest this week, and the students are all taking them in their stride. We have been so impressed by their attitude; how focussed and how calm they have been as they do their very best in what are, often, very long exams. (Luckily fuelled by Mr Baker’s fancy biscuits!)
Well done, all of you, you are a credit to yourselves, your parents and the school.
Last Sunday, George completed The Banham Marsden March, walking a very impressive fifteen miles. The walk was between the two Royal Marsden Hospitals, starting in Chelsea and finishing in Sutton, Surrey. George was raising money for The Royal Marsden Hospital that treated his late godmother. Well done, George - an amazing achievement for a very worthy cause - we are all very proud of you.
The final few weeks of term are always very busy ones, as we try to balance the potential anxieties around revision, exams and thoughts of transition with celebrations and end-of-year treats. There are lots of things to look forward to in the coming weeks, and here are some reminders for your diaries:
Tuesday 19th May - Year 12 trip to Mission Employable
Saturday 13th June - ERS Summer Fair
Wednesday 17th June - Year 12 trip to Willen Lake
Thursday 25th June - Sports Day
Monday 6th - Wednesday 8th July - ERS Production
Wednesday 8th July - Sixth Form Driving Day
Friday 10th July - ERS Prize Giving Day
(*Dates are yet to be finalised for the Year 13 Duke of Edinburgh expedition and Year 13 leavers’ event*)
Many of our students have taster and transition days to look forward to at their next settings and we hope that they are helpful and enjoyable.
Thank you for placing your hoodie orders. They will be delivered during the week beginning Monday 8th June - in time for any end-of year celebrations!
Enjoy the weekend.
Best wishes from,
Mrs Allum and the Sixth Form Team
