Creative Arts News - 22nd May 2026

We are very excited to bring you the details of this year's School Production. The students of KS3 and 4 have been preparing three different performances which will be shown back to back in condensed form to put a spotlight on each year group's talent and hard work.

Year 7 will be performing ‘The Wind in the Willows’ to begin, for the evening shows, at 6:30pm and conclude by 6:55pm. Meaning they will be able to change and leave slightly earlier during the interval following the Year 8 and Year 9’s performances. They are very welcome to stay to watch the final performance but from last year’s experience we saw just how tired the students became.

Year 8 will be performing ‘Fantastic Mr Fox’ to begin, for the evening shows, at 7:05 and conclude at 7:35. The students will do a fantastic job I’m sure.

Year 9 will then perform a condensed version of ‘The Jungle Book’ to begin at 7:45 and conclude at 8:15. We think the change this year will aid a smoother rehearsal process and give each student the chance to thrive in their own role and get the experience of putting on a complete performance.

All of these performances have been designed and stage managed by the Year 10 Drama students. They along with a select group of older students will be responsible for the productions running smoothly and looking as brilliant as they do. I am very proud of how all the students have taken ownership for their performance and how the staff have supported them.
