School as Community

The school is sometimes more than just an educational establishment that is teaching and learning academic subjects.  As well as the wide ranging curriculum, and the extra curricula activities on Fridays, the school also functions in a number of other ways.

PTA

We have a thriving and supportive PTA who organise a range of events for parents – such as the Christmas Fair – and for children all of which help the school come together as a community.  Over and above this, their fundraising activities provide additional facilities for use by the children – such as for play equipment for younger children and recreational space and benches for the older group. 

School Events

We also come together as a wider school with performances – normally at Christmas and at the end of the Summer term – special services to celebrate major festivals and for our Speech Day and Prize Giving where we celebrate both effort and achievement across the whole school during the year.

Our Parent Pages section – only accessible by current parents – has details of all such activities as we plan ahead for the term and year.  It also links to a specific PTA site that details their activities in more detail – and asks for volunteers!
